In order to achieve the kitchen design and flow these homeowners wanted, our team of designers reconfigured their entire main level.

The original kitchen design was very narrow, lacking kitchen countertop space and a good flow. When the space was redesigned it took over the existing powder room location, which required a new design as well.

The newly remodeled kitchen provides much better functionality, in addition to an updated, beautiful aesthetic. The homeowners chose to feature a gray ceramic tile with a glossy finish for the kitchen backsplash from @tilebar. A kitchen island was installed to accommodate guests, in addition to much more kitchen countertop space. And finally, the space is finished off with beautiful neutral-toned cabinetry and surfaces that help amplify the kitchen's seamless flow in this bright and airy space!

The Hammer Design Build Team achieved this through an open concept design that incorporated pine wood flooring with hammered-in rod nails, soapstone kitchen countertops, and white kitchen cabinets.

The homeowners were most looking forward to having a space that was not only usable, but enjoyable. The family never used to want to cook in their previous kitchen due to the limited counter space and dark lighting. Since the completion of their kitchen remodel, the homeowners have a newfound appreciation for cooking.

They especially appreciate their new soapstone countertop, a nonporous material that is virtually stain and bacteria-resistant. The homeowners love how their new countertop shines when treated with mineral oil.
